Tay Haggarty

FONT

9 – 26 September 2026

Opening event: 4-6pm Saturday 29 August

FONT is a solo exhibition by Tay Haggarty that queers the classic water fountain structure. This queering takes form through the development of abstract splattering, misting, dripping, squirting and imperfect fountain forms made from recycled car parts. Through these installations, Carpark gallery is transformed into an inclusive speculative sapphic sauna to sweat, rest and re imagine.

Tay Haggarty is a Meanjin (Brisbane) based artist making at the intersections of performance, video and sculpture. Their practice is interested in queer abstraction and explores how reductive forms can be used as an open field to reflect upon personal and shared queer experience.

This project is supported by Lesbians Incorporated.
